The Finisterre + DARN collaboration is a colorful and windswept apparel edit out of  Cornwall, UK. Inspired by the coastal landscapes and folklore of the region, the ready-to-wear women’s collection includes embroidered workwear-inspired pants, a quilted artist jacket with original brushstroke art, and more. Picture yourself sitting atop a cliff, watching the waves break in the distance while you effortlessly draw in you sketchbook, pausing only to watch a bird circle above. This is where the Finisterre + DARN collaboration fit into your life. Effortless, casual, drawn from nature.

DARN is a women-led makers collective founded by designer and multi-hyphenated creative Amelia Pemberton. The label creates rich and “meticulous products for life,” including 100% silk scarves and unique home accessories. Each item is individually designed and distributed by hand, reflecting the brand's commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.

“For the collection, we played with a lot of different motifs drawn from a mix of inspiration; folkloric ribbon, snake tulips known as ‘fritillaria’, loads of imagery from the Museum of Witchcraft in Boscastle, and even a few bits from some folklore books within my archive, one called 'The Kindred of the Krift' by Annabella Pollen. I drew so many designs it was hard to decide what would make the final cut! It was fun to play with all the different techniques we could push with embroidery and print with the team, I am really pleased with the outcome and looking forward to the launch,” says Pemberton.

The straight-leg Yarrel Canvas Trouser, a foundational piece in the Finisterre women’s line, features an easy flattering fit and the DARN collab is perfection with the canvas color and embroidered accents. A wool and cotton pull-on sweater is inspired by the summer solstice and features embroidered Cornish folklore motifs.

Finisterre is a surf and lifestyle brand that designs sustainable and functional gear for those who love the sea. Born two decades ago with a staunch environmental ethos, Finisterre is B-Corps certified and continues to innovate with sustainable materials and designs meant to last. Pemberton developed a connection to the sea when she was studying in Cornwall, often jaunting to the ocean for a cold dip and swim. Both brands are inspired by the water and Cornwall’s creative community, sharing a youthful, live-out loud joie de vivre.
